Workers is an ongoing project documenting the wide-ranging spectrum of people, places, and things orbiting the world’s multi-billion dollar sex industry. Began in 2008, the body of work provides an all-access glimpse into the vastly differing backgrounds, bodies, faces, lives, environments, and circumstances of sex workers around the globe. The project aims to generate awareness and promote positive dialogue around this institutionally marginalized and endangered group. Through writings, photography, and repurposed and recontextualized travel ephemera, the ever-expanding body of work currently features workers from Paris, New York City, Las Vegas, Belize, Jamaica, and Mexico.
